Organic Rump Roast Recipe

I recommend eating only 100% grass fed animal protein as it has Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which builds muscle instead of fat. Conventional beef which is raised on genetically engineered grains is fattening and dangerous. The complete opposite is true of 100% grass fed beef. There are a number of incredibly successful providers out there who grow their beef grazed on grass. I have been using US Wellness Meats (https://grasslandbeef.com) for many years and I am very satisfied with their product. But there are many such organizations today that offer great beef, lamb, pork and chicken. If it’s possible, go local.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lb rump roast
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic pepper
  • 1 tbsp pepercorns
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 4 carrotts
  • 2 cups water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 500
  • Prep the roast by cutting 5 -8 slits in the top of the roast and filling with garlic slices, and  pepper corns.
  • For remaining roast on all sides use garlic salt, garlic pepper and adobo seasoning
  • Place roast in oven proof pot and sear in oven for 20 minutes.
  • Add water to the pot, along with the onion and carrots and reduce heat to 300* and cook for 20 minutes per pound.
